Does Your Momma Know You Talk Like That?

Let's hope President elect Trump never has to meet my mother.

They would have to sit down together over a cup of coffee and have 'a talk' about what he believes is ok when talking about and how to treat women.

He would behave far more nicely after having a chat with her.

Most of our programming comes in our early years, before we get to grade school. The programming comes from our parents and families.

Clearly, Trump was raised the son of a womanizer and the son of an oppressed woman.

Now, ask yourself. How did your parents raise you?

Are you the best human being you can be?

Did you know that you can change your programming?

It's possible and it starts by being aware of your thoughts.

We have thoughts that immediately come up in our brains based on our early childhood programming. Not all of those thoughts serve ourselves and others.

Being aware of our thoughts is the first step in a process that includes considering how our automatic reactions to those thoughts may affect ourselves and others.

Practice being aware of the thoughts that are flowing through your mind.

Once you are aware of them, you can choose to accept those thoughts or not.

Once you are aware of being aware, you have reached an excellent point in your life.

Ready?

Would you like to know the truth? The truth is subject to interpretation. It's situational at best. Family traditions play a large role in developing your truths. If your parents firmly believed in peace, love and happiness, then you likely do too. Truth depends on who is telling it and whose ideas sound the best to you. Do the truths appeal to your gut or to your heart? Both are important, you know. As long as you are consciously aware of what you are feeling and you know that what you are hearing is what you want to accept into your heart as a part of your reality, then that's just fine. But don't come complaining when The Great Swamp Drainer merely adds more alligators to the swamp.
